Gili Tirkedi-Li. Short film by Shay Levi & Mika Joffe
A project in which I understood the main theme of the film and broke down the psychology of the main character in order to create this magical, girly, child-like wonder that could also indicate of sinister and dark means under the surface level. We went with a pink-sparkly color and texture scheme, used props that could contribute to the neo-noir and horror genre hiding in that bubbly world and placed them accordingly within the frame.

The costume design and makeup look of the film were a huge part in creating the feeling of the film and broadcasting the contradiction between the girly, magical and soft world the that introduces the main character's facade to her every-day dark and villain-like persona.

EREV HAG. Short film by Shay Levi.
Shooting within a rented gallery space, I had to create museum-like rooms with art installations that would resemble actual realistic exhibitions. This particular installation was created in order to showcase the character's melancholy, trauma and emotional turmoil in her inner world. Hence the blue color scheme, the solar-system projections on canvas, that to certain eyes could look like tears on her face, and standing figures surrounding her in a claustrophobic way.

It was important for me and the director to get the projections on the character's face for many reasons such as to parallel her emotions with the art, showcase her mood and to integrate the feeling and practicality the art creates with her current state.

MOVING ON. Short Film by me.
In this short film, I wanted the setting to be at an house party that happens in different timelines. Some scenes were shot during the day while some were shot at night. I decorated the space with fitting props and organized the frames accordingly to showcase the difference between the timelines.

I made sure to change the lighting and color scheme accordingly to showcase the main character's state of emotions and also differentiate between the timelines, as we shot in the same location, even though the film's plot isn't linear.

PROTECTED SPACE. Web Show by Anna Farahov.
In this web series that follows a character ensemble in times of war, we had to create a protected space that resembles bomb shelters around the country, filming in an empty storage room, I installed carton boxes, cleaning materials, furniture etc to create the feeling of authenticity in times of war that showcases the not-so-mundane routine of Israeli civilians.

In a certain episode, we had to recreate an oriental pub, we went with a henna party theme and decorated the set with rugs, vases, curtains, props and accessories to create this colorful lively spcae that in the same time doesn't distract the viewer's eye from the chaos going on.
